While religious festivals provide opportunities for individuals to reflect on and strengthen their religious faith and reinforce their commitment to ethical behaviors, including kindness and compassion, they have the importance of different sorts in society including the fostering of social cohesion, the preservation of cultural traditions and providing of opportunities for enjoying such festivals with families during the festivals.
